Lancashire and Greater Manchester qualified for the national rounds of the ESFA U16 Girls Inter-county Trophy. Nottinghamshire defeated both Lancashire (3-1 in the quarter-final) and Greater Manchester (7-6 on penalties after the game finished 2-2 in the semi-final).
The following six girls from the North region were selected for the ESFA U15 Girls International squad which won the Bob Docherty Trophy.

Once again Greater Manchester and Lancashire contested the final of the ESFA U16 Boys Inter-county Trophy. After 80 minutes had been played the score was 1-1. This year Greater Manchester won the trophy by scoring the winner in extra time. Merseyside and Durham were beaten semi-finalists.
